Presently my shop is in the basement of the house we're in right now, it's in two sections, one half actually under the house, pictured here on the left, where I have a bench for the wood working and leatherworking, and when the pic was taken I was still using a buffer alot, which has since been deleted from the set-up.

It's tight and cozy, not ideal but works well. I actually don't need a huge space to do what I do, and although this space is not ideal, it's a good tempoary set-up.

Looking in the other direction, the pic to the right, is the front of the basement, which extends out past the front of the house, and shows the "rough bench" on the left for filing and chisel work, and on the far right is my forging and heat-treating tools; anvil, forge, etc.

In the near left is a belt-grinder, which has also been deleted from the set-up since this pic.

A rather humble set-up to be sure, but it works fine, and I included these pics to show that a huge sapce isn't needed, and in a pinch, a craftsman will make whatever is available work.

Over the next year, I'll be building a new purpose-designed shop and I'll re-write this page to cover the construction and set-up, right from turning the sod to having a working shop.
