This is a knife I made many years ago, and not a great pic, but I wanted to include this one to show where I've gone over the years.

Rosewood slabs over an elm centerboard, brass pin and bolster, and a L-6 blade. I made this one somewhere around 1990-92.

A small blade made from Tamahagane; smelted Japanese steel made in the traditional method from raw materials.

Another small Japanese-style piece, blade is W-1 steel with a draw-filed flat, this one was polished and mounted by Keith Larman, and the shakudo habaki was created by Patrick Hastings. This photo was also taken by Keith.

I've been calling this design my "small game" knife, about a 3 inch blade, curly maple scales with brass pins, hammer-textured flats and a formed leather sheath. Often these get used for a small utility as a neck-knife or clipped into a pocket. A handy piece.
